2023 World Breast Feeding Week and Nutrition Week Commemorative Ceremony

2023 World Breast Feeding Week and Nutrition Week Commemorative Ceremony were conducted in Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association Headquarter on 18th August, 2023.
In this ceremony, Union Minister for Deputy Minister for Ministry of Health, Prof. Dr. Aye Tun, Permanent Secretaries, Director General, Deputy Director Generals from Ministry of Health, the President Prof. Dr. San San Myint Aung and Central Executive Committee members of Myanmar Maternal Child Welfare Association , the President and members of Myanmar Women Affairs federation, the members of Women and Child Development Federation, the vice president of Myanmar Red Cross Society, the President and members of Nay Pyi Taw MCWA Supervisory Committee, the President and members of District MCWA Supervisory Committee, the President and members of township MCWA, pregnant women and invited guests attended.
Firstly, the Union Minister for Ministry of Health, Dr. Thet Khing Win delivered an opening remark. Afterwards, MMCWA President Prof. Dr. San San Myint Aung delivered the welcome speech.
And then, the Deputy Minister for Ministry of Health, Prof. Dr. Aye Tun and focal persons of MMCWA offered the iodine salt, medicines and clothes to the pregnant women. And then, the Deputy Minister Prof. Dr. Aye Tun Win, MMCWA President and invited guests observed the activities photos of MMCWA.
As second part agenda, the Central Executive Committee member of Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association Dr. Yu Yu Khin presented about the pregnant & lactating mothers nutrition, followed by the Division of Nutrition, Daw Phyu Phyu Win presented on breast feeding and supplementary feeding.
Then, the pregnant women who received antenatal care three times and above in Myitta Sanyay clinic answered the questions about the nutrition awareness. The President gave the prize to the outstanding persons. And then, the central executive meeting continued in the afternoon.
